Learning from the Masters

The most common way to teach Artists about Traditional Chinese Painting is to get those learners to copy from the Masters who were painting in previous generations.

Wang Hui was one of the “Four Wangs” who lived and painted in the Ming and early Qing dynasty.

He spent most of his life learning his skill by copying the ancient Masters.

Here we have a lot of the work I have done in order to learn Chinese Brush Painting.

One of the most important ways to discover the secrets of wonderful art work is to attempt to copy it.

The Master has much to teach. He/she has spent his life working and painting and, very sensibly, a good way to develop ones own work is to learn by copying those Masterful techniques.
